The computer we use today is the result of many decades and hundreds of scientists' efforts. Let's have a look at the history of computer development. This post is about the years 1652 to 1960.


COMPUTER EVOLUTION HISTORY YEAR WISE (1952-1960)


1952


This year a computer named Univke-1 was delivered to the American Sense Bureau. It was the first commercial computer. Which caught the attention of the people.


1953


A company called IBM launched its first electronic computer 701 in the market this year.


1954


This year, Judson Transistor based on Silicon was built by Garden Teal, a Texas scientist. Due to this, there was a tremendous fall in the price of computers. In the same year, a company called IBM, ie International Business Machines, built a computer called 650 magnetic drum calculator and this computer sold 450 in a year.


1955


Bell Laboratories announced this year that they had built the first fully transistor-based computer called TRADIC.


1956


The first general purpose program called TEX Zero by M IT Research was created by computer transistors.


1958


This year a scientist named Jack Kilby built the integrated circuit. In which registers and capacitors were also used as semi-conductor pieces. This work was done under the aegis of a company called Texas Instruments.


1959


This year, a company called IBM launched seven thousand series mainframe computers. It was the company's first transistor-based computer.


1960


This year a mini computer called PDP-1 was sold for one lakh twenty thousand dollars. In the same year, a scientist named Robert Lewis invented the integrated circuit. This led to the printing of Circuits on Silicon Safaris.
