PRINTING A DOCUMENT IN MS WORD

Printing a Document

Before printing any document it is necessary to have a printer installed on our computer, if you have installed the printer and you want to print only one copy of all the pages of a document, then press 'Print' button in the standard toolbar Click, your document will be printed by the printer after doing this.

If you have multiple printers and want to choose one of them, or you want to print a few selected pages instead of the entire document, or want to have more than one copy removed, use the 'File' menu instead of the standard toolbar Use the 'Print option', the print dialog box will appear on your screen as soon as you order it.

1. This dialog box has many parts, the name of the printer is selected in the Name list box in the 'Printer' section. All the printers installed on your computer after clicking the small button, ie the symbol that appears in this box. Lists are given, from which you can choose any one printer.

2. The pages to be printed in the 'Page Range' section are told if you want to print all the pages in the open document, then click and set the 'All' radio button, if only the current page (ie The cursor in the document) is to be printed only, then set the 'Current Page' radio button, if you want to print any special pages other than these, first set the 'Pages' radio button and those pages in the text box in front of it Fill in the numbers with comma, for example, if you want to print page numbers 2, 4, 8, 10, 14 to 16, and 23, in the box '2,4-8 , 10,14-16,23 'should be filled.

3. The number of copies to be printed is given in the 'Copies' section of the print dialog box. For this, fill that number in the 'Number of Copies' spin box or set the correct number by clicking the spin buttons.

4. In this section there is a check box of 'Collate' which sets the order of print, for example, suppose your document has 5 pages and you want to print 4 copies of that document, now if you have 'Collate' Is set, first all the pages of one copy will be printed, then the second copy will be printed ie each copy will be printed as a separate set, if not selected, 4-4 copies of each page will be printed simultaneously.

And you have to prepare the set by hand.

Choosing the 'Collate' option slows down the printer a bit, but it doesn't make much of a difference in modern Pentium computers.

After making all the necessary settings in the print dialog box and putting the paper in the printer on-line, click the 'OK' button, this will start the printing process.
