Character Set

Character is the letter used to create words in any language. Words make sentences that reveal the meaningful meaning of that word. Computer language is a language using which we can tell the computer about our needs. Therefore, grammar (grammar) is also in this language like other languages. The first step to learn any language is to know its set of characters, which is called character set in English.


Like - when we learn Hindi, we are first taught a, b, c, d, etc. or a, b, c while learning English, similarly before learning C language, you need to know about its characters. The character set in C Language is divided into four parts, 


which is as follows


  • Letters
  • Digit
  • Special Character
  • White Space

Letters:


English language alphabets A to Z and a to z are Letters that are used for writing programs. "C" cases are sensitive languages. Therefore, "C" treats both a and A as separate letters. Adding these Lettres creates identifiers, keywords, strings, etc.


Digit:


C language also uses Digits, which are used for identifiers numeric value. There are only ten (0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) in this number, but you can also use it by grouping them.


Such as: 123, 345,764 etc.


Special Character :


There are special types of characters in the C language, which are used in special places in programming, let's know which special characters are used in the C language.


White Space:


C Compiler ignores White Space, but it is part of the String Constant that is used to separate the two words. But remember, White Space is not used between identifiers and keywords.
