MOTHERBOARD
The motherboard is also called the mainboard. It is the primary circuit board inside a personal computer. Many other parts of the computer are also connected directly or indirectly to the motherboard. One or more CPUs in the motherboard Occur. In addition, there is some circuitry. Which are actually integrated circuits.
Whose work CPU Memory and input/output have to provide interfaces between peripheral circuits. It also has services for the initial setup of the computer after the power is turned on, along with the main memory. Many portable and embedded personal computers have almost all body parts located on the motherboard. The motherboard consists of one or more peripheral buses and physical connectors for expansion purpose purposes.
In simple terms, a motherboard is a Printed Circuit Board (PCB). Also known as Logical Board, System Board, Printed Wire Board (PWB), and Mainboard. The motherboard is the most important part of a computer. In which all the necessary equipment are connected. These include CPU, RAM, HDD, Monitor, BIOS, CMOS, Mouse, Keyboard, etc. devices which are connected through Dedicated Ports. The motherboard supplies power to these devices and communicates among themselves.
The motherboard is a plastic sheet in which different ports are made to connect the devices. The connection of each port is built-in to the motherboard, which we can see.
TYPES OF MOTHERBOARD
Motherboards Are Available In Many Features And Capacities, And These Capacities And Characteristics Depend On The Motherboard Manufacturers. Therefore No Special Type Of Motherboard Is Available. But Depending On Their Texture, They Can Be Divided Into Two Parts.
1. INTEGRATED MOTHERBOARD
2. NON-INTEGRATED MOTHERBOARD
1. INTEGRATED MOTHERBOARD
Motherboards in which separate ports are made to connect different components of the computer are called Integrated Motherboards. Nowadays these motherboards are used in PCs, Laptops, etc. Through these motherboards, you can easily upgrade any part of your computer.
2. NON-INTEGRATED MOTHERBOARD
Motherboards That Do Not Have Ports To Connect The Necessary Equipment Are Called Non-integrated Motherboards. These Motherboards Have Cpu, Ram Etc. Built-in, And Cannot Be Upgraded Later. Similar Motherboards Are Used In Smartphones, Tablets Etc.
FUNCTIONS OF MOTHERBOARD
1. The motherboard provides space to connect the accessories. That is why it is also called the backbone of a computer.
2. It provides a power supply to connected devices and also manages them.
3. Communicates one device with another.
4. The BIOS of the computer preserves the settings and information so that the computer can be started easily.
DIFFERENT MOTHERBOARD PARTS / MOTHERBOARD PORTS
The motherboard acts as a base or component hub. With which all the necessary computer equipment is connected. Each device is connected to a Dedicated Place. This place or place is called Port. Motherboards have different types of Ports. In which different devices of the computer can be connected.
Motherboard Ports
Serial Port
Serial ports are used to connect additional modems and mice based on older technology. These Ports come in two models 9 Pin and 25 Pin.
Parallel Port
Scanners & Printers are connected to these ports. These are in Ports 25 Pin. They are also called Printer Port.
PS / 2 Port
These ports are round in shape. They connect the mouse and keyboard. These ports are rarely used nowadays.
USB Ports
The full name of USB is Universal Serial Bus. All types of USB devices such as a mouse, keyboard, printer, hard disk, etc. can be connected by USB ports. USB ports were created in 1991. And their ability to transfer data is much faster and more.
VGA Port
VGA Port is used to connect a computer monitor. Its texture is similar to Serial Port.
Power Connector
A Power Connector is used to connect the motherboard to Power. Power does not go directly to the motherboard. She first goes to the SMPS and then reaches the motherboard.
Modem Port
Modem Port is used to connect the computer to the Internet cable. Its design is somewhat similar to the USB port.
External Ports
These ports are used to connect one computer to another computer. Network cable is added to them.
Game Port
Game ports are used to connect Game Consoles and Joysticks. However, nowadays USB ports have started being used in their place.
DVI Port
DVI stands for Digital Video Interface. DVI Port is used to connect Flat Panel Monitors i.e. LCD, LED to the computer.
Sockets
Sockets are used to connect Speakers and Microphones to computers. They are round and small.
