HOW TO USE STROKE AND FILL IN PAGEMAKER 7.0

USE STROKE AND FILL IN PAGE MAKER 7.0

You can improve objects in PageMaker in many ways such as - resize, rotate and add color to objects. For objects drawn with the PageMaker drawing tools, you can change the stroke (the width of the drawing tool and the borders around the rectangles, ellipses, and polygons) as well as the stroke and fill pattern.

If you select the stroke or fill attributes when you do not select an attribute, those attributes become the new default settings. The items you attract later, adopt those characteristics until you change them.

YOU CAN USE FILL AND STROKE IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS

  • FIRST, USING THE POINTER TOOL, SELECT AN OBJECT.
  • USE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING METHODS:
  1. To set both fill pattern and stroke attributes for selection, choose Element> Fill and Stroke, and select Attributes from the Fill and Stroke pop-up menu.
  2. To change only the Fill and Stroke attributes, choose Element> Fill and Stroke> Stroke and select attributes.
  3. If you want the stroke size not listed on the Stroke Menu, choose Element> Stroke> Custom to specify a weight from 0 - 800 points in 0.1 increments.

  • CHOOSE AN ADDITIONAL PROPERTY FOR THE STROKE:
  1. If you want objects placed behind a patterned stroke to show through the spaces in the pattern, choose the Transparent Background option.
  2. Click the Reverse Stroke option to draw the outline of a paper-colored stroke or shape on a contrasting black, shaded, or colored background.
